project description
Heartland Engineering has collaborated with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to introduce and renovate drinking water fluoridation systems across the state. Furthermore, Heartland has been pivotal in a pilot study exploring novel fluoridation methodologies. Dr. Guy Deyton, DDS, the former director of the Office of Dental Health, has opined, “Community water fluoridation stands as one of the most impactful, cost-effective public health projects. A singular intervention can reduce tooth decay by 30% across the community’s lifespan.” Heartland’s contributions include:
- Butler County PWSD #3
- Higginsville PWS
- Harrisonville PWS
- Camden County PWSD #4 Shawnee Bend
With ongoing grant funding opportunities, Heartland Engineering remains primed to contribute further to the state’s fluoridation objectives.
